The reasons why car turn signals sometimes fail are that the turn signals are burnt out, the turn signal contacts are poor, the power or model of the turn signal bulbs are inconsistent, the bulb control relay is faulty, and the vehicle's turn signal switch is malfunctioning.
Specifically, as follows:
1. The turn signal is burnt out. The flashing relay of the car turn signal is damaged, and a multimeter needs to be used to measure the voltage. The normal continuous output voltage is 12V. If it is continuous output or there is no output, it indicates that the flashing relay is damaged.
Solution: The car owner needs to immediately go to the car repair shop for professional personnel to inspect the steering gear circuit, so that the function can be used normally.
2. Poor contact of turn signals. Poor contact between the turn signal bulb and the base can cause the turn signal to turn on and off.
Solution: The car's turn signal and base need to be reinstalled firmly.
3. The power or model of the steering light bulb is inconsistent. The light bulb of the turn signal does not match the vehicle. If the car had a burnt out turn signal bulb before and the power of the reinstalled light bulb was too high, the turn signal will go on and off.
Solution: At this point, it is necessary to go to the 4S store to replace the light bulb that matches the vehicle's power.
4. Bulb control relay malfunction. The fuse of a light bulb can also cause the turn signal to turn on and off, and the bulb will age after a certain period of use.
Solution: At this point, it is necessary to replace the aging steering light bulb with a new one. You can purchase the light bulb yourself, replace it yourself, or go to the repair shop to replace the light bulb for the vehicle's turn signal.
5. The turn signal switch of the vehicle has malfunctioned. If the switch is damaged, there may be occasional malfunctions and normal situations when using turn signals in the vehicle.
Solution: You can go to the repair shop to remove the switch and check for poor contact at the switch connection. If the contact is poor, the circuit needs to be adjusted. If the switch itself is damaged, it needs to be replaced.
