1. Wattage:
The original configuration of a typical car is a 60/55 watt light bulb, and there are 100 watt or even 140 watt light bulbs available for sale outside. The lighting effect can definitely increase, but it is necessary to install a light enhancing harness to avoid the current not meeting the demand. Moreover, there are relevant regulations for car inspection, which cannot exceed 60/55 watts. However, without replacement, it cannot meet the lighting requirements, and it is not easy to detect after replacement, so it can generally pass the annual inspection.
2. Color temperature:
The color temperature of a regular car light bulb is 2400K, which represents color. 2400K is yellow light, while Silver Warrior is 4300K, emitting white light. HID (xenon) headlights emit 5000K-10000K, which means white light or even blue light. White looks comfortable, but in principle, the penetration of yellow light is better. And there are also relevant regulations for car inspection, which must be yellow light, but now it is basically not required because xenon headlights are also original.
3. Filling gas:
The earliest light bulbs were all vacuum filled, but now they are mostly halogen filled. Halogen is filled with inert gas, which can extend the service life of the light bulb. And now there is a xenon bulb on the market, which only refers to the filled gas. As long as the filament is still emitting light, the difference is not significant. Don't confuse it with HID (xenon) headlights!
4. Luminescence principle:
Ordinary light bulbs emit light with tungsten filaments, and a voltage of 12 volts can make them emit light. The full name of xenon headlights is HID gas discharge lamps, which use positive and negative electricity to stimulate the chemical reaction between xenon gas (XENON) and rare metals to emit light. Therefore, you will find a small glass ball inside the tube of HID bulbs, which is filled with xenon gas and a small amount of rare metals. As long as an electric current is used to stimulate their chemical reaction, the two will emit a light with a color temperature of up to 5000K. This is not only a luminosity that traditional halogen lamps cannot achieve, but also the color temperature of 5000K, which is closest to noon sunlight and most eye-catching. Feeling comfortable with the brightness. In addition, due to the increasing activity of xenon molecules over time, gas discharge bulbs may become brighter and brighter. Because stimulating xenon gas emission requires 23000V, a true HID gas discharge lamp requires a voltage stabilizer. The voltage is increased from 12V to 23000V, which is used to stimulate xenon gas to reach high brightness at the moment when the power is turned on, and stably and continuously supply xenon light bulbs for illumination. Because xenon headlights have characteristics such as triple brightness output, high color temperature comfort, several times product lifespan, and about 1/2 power consumption, they are definitely a substitute for tungsten filament bulbs! But now the price of xenon headlights is still very high, at least over 3000.
Xenon headlights also have their drawbacks, as xenon emission changes from dark to bright, making them unsuitable for frequent alternation of high and low beams (a common action we use when passing intersections or overtaking)
